Residents living in Bennington Road, White Hart Lane, have been without gas for over six weeks by contractors digging up their road.
Justin Hinchcliffe, a local resident and Conservative campaigner, has been inundated with calls for help.
Justin commented: âMany of the younger residents use microwaves and electric kettles, but some of the older residents are totally dependent on their gas stoves to cook meals and boil water to make tea. Six weeks is a long time to put up with this inconvenience. Now that the weather is getting colder, reconnection is becoming really urgent. I urge the contractors and gas companies to hurry up and fix this problem--and generously compensate those affectedâ.
