A bus lane along Tottenham's Seven Sisters Road containing many potholes and cracks is to repaired by Transport for London (TfL) after residents, many of them elderly, alerted Tottenham Conservatives to the problem.
Justin Hinchcliffe, Chairman of Tottenham Conservatives, welcomed the decision.
Justin Commented: "Residents had alerted us to the fact that passengers on local routes were being thrown around the bus - so bad was the road surface. I would like to thank Cllr. Brian Haley, the Lead Member for Environment, Haringey Council and TfL for their co-operation and help. When
politicians of different political colours put aside their differences and work together, a lot can be achieved."
TfL is due to carry out the repairs by the end of August 2007 between the junction of Tottenham High Road and Seven Sisters Road to Manchester Road, both N15.
ENDs.
