A Tottenham resident and former Conservative council candidate is celebrating this week after qualifying as a doctor. Dr. James Orpin, 30, lives in Somerset Gardens off White Hart Lane. Following a science degree at Cambridge and a short career in IT, James decided to switch career track. He returned to his old university, Cambridge, to study Medicine, before completing his medical qualification at Kings College Hospital in London. James will continue to live in Tottenham when he takes up his first medical post at the end of July: working with elderly patients in Harlow, Essex. He was last week elected Treasurer of Tottenham Conservatives.
