Left-leaning website says, "Vote Conservative in Tottenham" 14/02/05

William MacDougall, the Conservatives' Parliamentary candidate for Tottenham, received a tremendous boost this week when a Left-leaning website - which is opposed to Blair's style of government, the Iraq war and lies - urged Tottenham residents who are fed up with Labour to vote Conservative at the next General Election. www.backingblair.co.uk says that only the Conservatives can beat Labour in Tottenham and that people should vote tactically to oust Labour.

Commenting on the news, a delighted Justin Hinchcliffe, Chairman of Tottenham Conservatives, said:

"I am really happy that we have received this endorsement, but not surprised. Our controversial Labour MP supported Blair over the Iraq War, Post Office closures, tuition fees, ID cards and Europe. He also fails to stand up the Labour's bullyboys at the Town Hall.

We already know that former Liberal Democrat and Green supporters vote Conservative locally and we're confident they'll do the same this time round to beat Blair's man in Tottenham. Labour has let so many people down and we can't rule out a surprise result in the forthcoming election."
