At next week's Conservative Party conference, Tottenham Conservatives will scoop a top award for their website, www.tottenhamconservatives.com
Party bosses were said to have been impressed with both the design and contents of the Tottenham Association's website.
The website, with almost two hundred pages of local news from Tottenham Conservatives, will be given the 'Website of the Year' award for the way in which it is used to keep residents informed about local news - beating off hundreds of other websites!
As the Liberal Democrats have long been a nonentity in Tottenham and were a poor fourth in June's elections, the Conservatives are widely credited with keeping up the pressure on Labour-run Haringey in the East of the Borough and, as a result, claim that they're going from strength to strength. Local Conservatives have high hopes of making inroads at the local council elections in 2006.
William MacDougall, Tottenham Conservatives' Parliamentary candidate, commented:
"I am delighted that our work and professionalism have been recognised. I would like to thank Justin Hinchcliffe, our 'Webmaster', who keeps local residents up to date with what's happening in Tottenham. If you haven't viewed website, you're in for a treat - and it's now official!"
Lydia Rivlin, Chairman of Tottenham Conservatives, will collect the award on Monday, 4th October, in Bournemouth.
Factfile: www.tottenhamconservatives.com has been 'live' for little over a year and has had nearly 9,000 'hits' - that's 750 people a month!
