Crime in Haringey is now running at an astounding 700+ offences per week.

Conservatives also point out that reported crime in Enfield has risen by 9.1%. Offences involving 'violence against the person' are up 6.6%. Crime is Enfield is now running at 600 offences per week.

Commenting on the rising tide of crime, Peter Forrest, Conservative GLA Candidate for Enfield-Haringey said:

"These numbers are deeply worrying. Livingstone seems powerless to stop London's crime wave.

Livingstone's criminal legacy to Londoners at the end of 4 years has been to preside over a rising tide of crime".

END.
