New Team bigger and better says Rivlin 17/01/03

Only the Conservatives can beat Labour - the Lib Dems can't win here!

Lydia Rivlin, the Chairman of Tottenham Conservatives, has announced changes to her Team. At a recent meeting held at the party's HQ in Bruce Grove, Caesar Lalobo was moved from being a Deputy Chairman (Membership) to Action Team Leader for Broadwater Farm, in a bid to establish links between the Conservative Party and Farm residents. Tories say that they are determined to take on Labour in their 'heartlands'.

Matt Clare, a 30 year-old Harringay Ladder resident, replaces Caesar as the Deputy Chairman responsible for the party's growing membership. Matt is the second youngest member of the Executive Committee.

Tony Grosz, a former councillor, replaces Pat Salim as the Association's Secretary after she stepped down for health reasons. Roger Bradley, of White Hart Lane, stood as a candidate in Northumberland Park in 2002, joins the Executive as an open place member.

The Team includes Lydia Rivlin (Chairman), Baroness Miller of Hendon MBE (President), William MacDougall (Deputy Chairman Political), Justin Hinchcliffe (Deputy Chairman Fund-raising), Matt Clare (Deputy Chairman Membership), Ada Gang-Devi (Treasurer), Tony Grosz (Secretary), Caesar Lalobo (Leader of the Broadwater Farm Action Team), Lloyda Fanusie (Women's Committee), Kshitis Das (Vice President), Jean Farmer (Vice President) and Peter Forrest (GLA Candidate). The AGM, which is open to all paid-up members, will be held in late March.

Commenting on the new changes, Lydia Rivlin said:

"My Team is now bigger and better. We're looking forward to beating Labour in June's elections."
