Tory pressure forces Council to organise 'clear up'

Coun Tax going through the roof under Labour Haringey

Following pressure from White Hart Lane Conservatives, Haringey Council is organising a 'Community Clear up'.

Justin Hinchcliffe, who stood for election in White Hart Lane last year said:

"The Community Clear Up is long over-due. We have been begging Haringey to 'clean up the clutter' for some time so it really is the case that persistence pays off. The next Conservative administration in Haringey will scrap the Council's tax on unwanted items, which has caused the dumping problem. Waltheof Avenue is the 'dumping capital of Tottenham' as a result of the £15 tax - I hope that all the dumped furniture is removed and steps are taken to scrap this unfair tax."
